I'm thinking it would be a good idea to gather a relatively large library of military related photos and images on these forums. I always enjoy looking through military images, anyway.
Any time period or locale will do - WWI, WWII, Bosnia, Iraq, Afghanistan, Chechnya.. whatever! As long as it's fairly high resolution! For the insanely high resolution shots, do everybody a favour and post a link, or even better, a thumbnail. Anyway, here are my contributions. Referring to OP Canadian Sniper Pic
Hmm, either A. The Canadians are literally stealing USMC issued uniforms because they say it's their pattern or B. That's no Canadian. I wear that Uniform for my MCJROTC inspections so I know what it looks like. And the one where you weren't sure about the Men, it's one soldier and one Marine. |

You're probably right - I probably got it in my head that he was Finnish because I've got way too many pictures of Finnish snipers cluttering up my HD

I think the key is that harness he's wearing. I'm not sure what type it is, but it has the same colors as Cadpat woodland so there's my guess. And it looks more like an M82 to me. Am I wrong in thinking that the M107 is a bolt operated Sniper Rifle with the Magazine in a Bullpup design?
Edit- I'm pretty sure it's an M82 seeing how it's identical to what the Marine Sniper is firing in the OP's picture and the Marines use the M82 Barret. |

I couldn't tell the difference with just a quick glance, although I see now that the second picture (with the Barret) isn't CADPAT
First pic is Canadian snipers training somewhere in the US, and the second is a USMC Scout/Sniper from what I gather. |
