Franco would be cool because I'd join the POUM, link up with Orwell, and then we'd anarchize Franco's ass.
But in terms of living standards, Castro is the obvious choice. Before you start telling me Castro's evil because of the Cuban Missile Crisis, look up İzmir, Turkey. After that look up hypocrisy. You may also want to look into Kennedy aide Pierre Salinger's account of how Kennedy asked him to order thousands of Cuban cigars before placing the embargo on Cuba. |
