Getting that N@W feeling again
I was searching around some of the sites this morning and came across the news that N@W mod (Nations at War) just released v5.0. This is the mod I was into before I fell in with PR. I gotta say this is one hell of a fun mod, seems like the Devs found a few tricks in code allowing for a bunch of unusual content for a BF2 mod check the release notes and get the mod: http://www.nawmod.com/ Subs, nukes, Dodge Chargers, A-team vans, plus for your personal popper you get a "deagle". The mod supports single player, co-op, as well as a couple cool multi-modes.
The feature I was most impressed with back when I first played N@W was the shear volume of maps, there are 85 total (A few of the player made maps are admitidly quite cheesy although the mod-team build maps are super professional and on par with PR maps. If you were a BF42/DC player you'll find a few of your favorite BF42/DC maps in resplendent BF2 graphics. Stalingrad, Berlin, Basrahs Edge, Bocage, Village_Lost, Al_Khafji_docks etc. A couple of the N@W maps are particularly appealing such as various versions (night/day/winter/summer) of Snowy_park. I was just looking at the map list and I seemed to have spotted a few old PR maps as well; Steel Thunder, Oasis, Greasy Mullet?!? The reason N@W died off was POE came out as well as BF2142, and I might add PR v.3 snagged a lot of N@W players. I'm at 20% download and hope to be seeing a few of my PR mates in game this weekend. |

Thank you, that's going much faster.
Now I know it will be done when I return from recruiting more troops for my fire missions. |

I could put my comments up on this mod but I wont bother since they aint going to be at all constructive here.
this is a community made item, like many of the weapons in N@W like the jav etc. We have it in PR too we just aint put it in any maps yet since they would throw the blance off. They would only work in asymmetrical map unless any of the other teams had them too, which they do not. |
