EDIT: come to think of it i used to do that a lot too. With ANYTHING military in movies i used to be like "awww thats fake!!" because it was. But i have learned to stop doing thanks to a few of my friends "intervening"

I haven't seen the new one, but the first three were freaking incredible. Without being realistic. So it would be easy to be unrealistic and still be great, just like it would be easy to be unrealistic but nothing like the first three, ending up as a POS.

I liked the first couple because they broke some of the action movie models by having the lead character suffer some injuries where the last one was just so dumb......
Yeah maybe I am too smart for my own good WRT to military hardware but I have always been like that and many here are the same.
Action movies have improved because of people like us, they reload guns now ...no more endless magazine and so on.
Maybe if I was really, really wasted then Live Free would be entertaining but even then I don't think so.
The sniper with suppressed rifle on a helicopter ...... it just makes no sense.
They clog the streets by messing with the traffic system on the fourth of july and yet they still have a car chase .....it's so self contradicting I couldn't get past the stupidity.
Plus, I was really hpoing the hacker kid would be killed in some horrible way.
