Forum Rules: Signature width
![]() Why is the Signature width limited to 550? You could have a width limit of 697 without any damage to the layout of the forum. And it wouldn't waste more space unlike higher signatures. |

For me it's annoying when users use bigger sig than those limited. Besides I think those limits are fine by all means. Perfect measures.

I have signatures and avatars turned off now anyway. It makes the forums a LOT nicer to read.

Like Bosco said, rules are rules.
In fact if it were up to me then no sigs would be bigger than 450 x 120 pixels. But, as it happens, it is NOT up to me so 550 x 200 IS the max rule. You could petition for bigger limits, but I wouldn't hold my breath that you would actually get it. |

I don't like big fat ugly sigs either but a 697x150 bar is much better than a space wasting 550x200 chunk. | |
