Bf2:sf (lol!)

Now this one is classic.

Apparently (as far as I've read), if you buy the SF patch you will gain access to additional weapons.. we all know this.

Here's the humorous part...

If you buy SF, you can go into any BF2 server and use these weapons. If you do not have BF2:SF, you cannot select these weapons at all.

What does this mean?

This means that BF2:SF will have an advantage over BF2 players because they have more weapons to choose from and more tools at their disposal (ie: the flashbang, grappling hook, new weapons, etc).

lol.

How can they do that? Imagine if every game did this.

Imagine if every game released 4 expansion packs with new content & features. If you buy the expansion, you can hop onto servers with players that did not buy it and rip them up with your new features.

So now, here's what people will do. They will intentionally make it so that their SF team members die (not by TKing, there are other methods, such as artillery) and steal their weapons.

There are so many things wrong with this, it's hard to figure out where to begin.

Btw, this has nothing to do with me wanted all of the weapons.. I could care less. I'll tear into anyone with my M24, regardless if they have flashbangs, jetpacks, wings.. it's just very unfair to all of the players. They should restrict SF weapons to SF servers and leave it at that.

Idiots. Bunch of crummy idiots.

/rant.

Maybe not. You'll be laughing when your expansion starts experiencing the 10+ bugs that have been reported already. (such as the one where weapons get mixed up in your kit selection).

Yea, thats pretty damn low. With the hit detection being so bad in vanilla, I wonder if they made the new guns MUCH more powerful, so people will have to upgrade to be able to compete.

Also they offer it as a pay download at 1.2gigs.

Hmmm........why don't they give all their BF2 customers a little free present for the holidays that says thanks for your support. OOOOOHH......thats right......it's EA, my bad.

So far, my experiences with people toting MG36s and FN-2000s have been pretty murderous. Make sure you see them first, and aim for the head. Hopefully you can get 6 headshots in before they can hose you with 3 shots from their uber accurate power houses.

Meh, who plays standard BF2 anymore anyway?

It's mods only for me from now on. After PRMM I seriously cannot stomach a regular game of BF2 for more than 2 minutes.

All this means is that our server will have global unlocks turned off (every server should have this off anyway IMO - must be something to do with my marxist education ).
