Quick warning, if you have uTorrent or any kind of a bittorrent program, get rid of it and use Azerus instead. The MPAA just bought up a shitload of torrenting programs, so they're goin' on another 'catching pirates' spree. And pass it on, too.

This is old news really, but basically, what this is about is that BitTorrent Inc(the creators of the torrent protocol) bought uTorrent, in order to implement the program into their own official torrent client.
uTorrent have allways, and will continue to be closed source, and because BitTorrent Inc has partnered with several big companies from the film industry in order to distribute movies over BitTorrent(legally), some are afraid that they will start to add spyware and other crap to catch pirates.

But since it is closed source, no one can know for sure, so if your feeling paranoid, just use an open source client like Azureus or an older version of uTorrent.
