Motherboard suggestions

Its that time again and im looking into building up a new comp from scratch. I need suggestions for motherboards. What has worked well for you etc. I cant decide If I want/need SLI support. Any suggestions are more than welcome.

More info would be useful. Do you intend to over clock? What existing hardware ( if any ) do you have that you still want to use in it?

None. Everythings relatively flexible. Im not going liquid cooled so overclocking is a possibility but nothing crazy. My main area of interest was getting people opinions on any good boards they currently have/ have heard about. Looking ahead I see SLI growing in popularity but then theres also the matter of DDR3 ram possibly becoming more prominent as well.

Pretend the 1st thing I am looking at is a MOBO. Which do you think will preform better/last longer as well as meet certain needs that might arise in the future such as DDR3 support.

The future of the industry is a bit annoying right now. Supposedly the 9800 nVidia series will be a different type of PCI-E, and then theres DDR3...so one would need a totally new motherboard...

If you're looking for a budget yet good build, try something like what I have right now.
Gigabyte P35-DS3R motherboard (great for dual and quad core)
core 2 duo e6750
8800gts 320mb.

I've also heard good things about the new nVidia motherboard, 680 series I think. They have SLI and overlock relatively well. One should hold you over for 3-5 years at least.
A quad core, with 2 8800's series video cards and DDR2 ram won't be obsolete for a long time.
