I loved it, great game, then the patch got rid of my save games, and I was &*^%$@ off, so I uninstalled it.

Might reinstall when I get my PC working again.

A lot of the missions have bugs that prevent you from actually completing them properly. You get the reward etc. but then the mission becomes active again like you didn't do it.

I agree first half was better. The storyline was a bit confusing because it wasn't executed very well and the other multiple endings were a bit crap really, I expected more.

The actual shooting and action is quite good though, but some of the bugs were quite annoying. And the missions could have been designed a lot better.

Well, as much as I'd like to hold my nose in the air with your elite corps of free-thinking gamers, let's get back on topic.

I think, in short, STALKER's pretty darn good in gameplay, not just because of the fighting, but there's a lot of depth, variety, and customizability in the sort of equipment you can carry. I thought it was a cool touch how you needed to eat to stay alive and could use energy drinks to give you an extra boost in battle (it also seems a bit cartoonish, though). The game even employs some stealth elements, so its not all about combat.

And yeah, the atmosphere is good too.

Everything else about the game is subject to disagreement.

But if that's all that matters to you, definitely get it.

puglous, gtfo, some of us arn't "free thinking" just to be different. I was HYPED as HELL about Oblivion, then I bought it, was hyped into the game and then I realized it wasn't good at all...it had a few nice features, but when asking some guys who mod the game it turns out that the radiant AI thing was nothing more than a more elaborate schedule...

Seriously, what's the point of posts like this? Obviously not to express his opinion, because he thinks his opinion is fact. Obviously not to help anyone make an informed decision, because his post isn't based on any sort of fact. Quite the opposite, its disingenous and may make someone who could genuinely enjoy the game not buy it. Obviously not to add to the topic, because its irrelevant and the thread already had a close call with being side tracked. If not just to piss people off, why make posts like that?

I already left the offical Elder Scrolls forums because I was so damn sick of hearing that sort of stuff, or about how fast-travel drove someone to drink, or hearing that if a game falls short of ridiculously high hype, its a piece of crap. There's no way in hell I'm going to spend time debating that sort of thing on here.
