Turning on the shower without getting your Arm wet.
Yes, its the poll of the Century, ever since its been brought up on 8 out of 10 cats (UK Comedy Show), I've been interested.
How many people here try to turn on the shower, without getting your arm wet. i.e. Do you turn on the shower, then instantly snap your arm back to stop it getting hit by the shower you just turned on, even though you're going to be stepping into the shower anyway. |

Well, since the water usually hasn't reached a decent temperature yet, I pull back my arm.

It just doesn't feel right getting your arm wet, then taking off your clothes while you wait a few seconds for the water to heat up.

^^ Agreed: it's cold and I prefer to have everything in one neat bundle, ie. washed in entirety not partially wet. That would feel........... wrong.

I have an easy solution to this problem which has been tried and tested...... Put the shower head on the floor of the bath/shower cubicle and then turn the water on

Yeah, we have a monsoon head shower..... very difficult to avoid the deluge.
It's a bit of an effort to try and twist around it to turn on the taps. I usually avoid such unsavoury dilemmas and use the tried and tested gambit of: "Honey! Will you turn the shower on?" |

I let the water run and heat up before switching it to the shower.
And yet I still try to avoid getting my arm wet. It's just not "right" to go in a soaking wet arm. |

Exactly, it's one of the great questions of life. Why must we get wet before actually stepping into the shower? Screw global warming and famine, why can't I turn my shower on without getting my arm wet?
