B-Day(what should I buy)

Its going to be my birthday pretty soon, and i wanted to buy my self a present with all the money i get, (tehe) so here is my current specs.

Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 6300@ 1.86GHz
Memory: 1022 MB
Video Card:Nvidia GeForce 7300 LE
Sound Card: integrated
Operating System: Vista

I'm looking to update everything, i first bought this computer for school last year,
now I'm doing allot more gaming that homework.

So i want the best up grades i can get for $500.

im also looking into buying a new monitor since i still have a big bulky one -.-.

Well get a gforce 8 series 512 PCI-E and even thoe its a duo get a 3.0 duo which will comp out any PD yea that would help alot with gaming and i live in new zealand so our prices are alot different here but just a thought look into these specs they will not disappoint...

While it's nice to have a flat screen, a CRT still works and I would prioritize the computer.
One thing I notice is that you only have 1GB of RAM. I recommend at least 2GB, it makes gaming and other tasks so much smoother.

right now im running PR with everything on low.

But i have to buy through dell, ugh, or else they terminate my warranty

I reckon the GTS 320mb is the best bang for buck, GTX prices will fall when newer cards come out and a GTS can handle everything at the moment.

But i guess i shall finally fall in the PR hole of "you need at least 2 GIGs to run PR"

	For PR I play exclusively on Tactical Gamer server as "vanity11" For ArmA I play exclusively on Tactical Gamer (coop and evo) as "Vanity"
