"AP: New Details on Tillman's Death"

This is going to go down well ...

Quote:
Army medical examiners were suspicious about the close proximity of the three bullet holes in Pat Tillman's forehead and tried without success to get authorities to investigate whether the former NFL player's death amounted to a crime, according to documents obtained by The Associated Press.

"The medical evidence did not match up with the, with the scenario as described," a doctor who examined Tillman's body after he was killed on the battlefield in Afghanistan in 2004 told investigators.

The doctors - whose names were blacked out - said that the bullet holes were so close together that it appeared the Army Ranger was cut down by an M-16 fired from a mere 10 yards or so away.

Ultimately, the Pentagon did conduct a criminal investigation, and asked Tillman's comrades whether he was disliked by his men and whether they had any reason to believe he was deliberately killed. The Pentagon eventually ruled that Tillman's death at the hands of his comrades was a friendly-fire accident.

The medical examiners' suspicions were outlined in 2,300 pages of testimony released to the AP this week by the Defense Department in response to a Freedom of Information Act request.

After all he was a progressive, openly anti-war and anti-Bush.

The September 25, 2005 edition of the San Francisco Chronicle newspaper reported that Tillman held views which were critical of the Iraq war and did not support President Bush's re-election. According to Tillman's mother, a friend of Tillman had arranged a meeting with Noam Chomsky (a strident liberal author and thinker), to take place after his return from Afghanistan. Chomsky has confirmed this. The article also reported that Tillman urged a soldier in his platoon to vote for John Kerry in the 2004 U.S. Presidential election.

His close friend Army Spec. Russell Baer remembered, "I can see it like a movie screen. We were outside of [an Iraqi city] watching as bombs were dropping on the town.... We were talking. And Pat said, 'You know, this war is so f***ing illegal.' And we all said, 'Yeah.' That's who he was. He totally was against Bush." With these revelations, Pat Tillman the PR icon joins WMD and Al Qaeda connections on the heap of lies used to sell the Iraq War.]

So because he held liberal views he was murdered by his own men?

Extremely far-reaching, at best. Just because liberals are ready to stab their best friends in the back at a moments notice doesn't mean the rest of the populace behaves this way. Most people don't mind others having a different view point. Only the liberals turn on their friends like that, wait until the primaries to really see them in action.

This is a fine blend of wild speculation, naivety, and paranoia.

It means people are implying that Tillman's own squad murdered him because he was Anti-Bush. They think that because Tillman didn't agree with their points of view, he was killed.

That type of thinking is done by people who regularly use and exhibit that type of backstab behavior. It's much like how liars are constantly in fear that others are lying to them. Because they spend so much time lying, they assume everyone else does the same. But that's rarely the case.

Here's the second problem - if Tillman was murdered, chances are by now someone in that squad would have come forward. The magical glue of all conspiracy theories (such as this) is that everyone is in on it and no one ever speaks out. Throughout history, that has never, ever been the case. Someone ALWAYS leaks. The only way to keep something airtight is to kill everyone else involved.

I've followed this story for some time the corruption goes all the way up to the top brass of the Army . Imagine what kind of an Icon this guy would be to the anti war movement if he made it out alive .This guy would of been the next John Kerry .

A traitor like Kerry ?
I hope that he would not have met with a foreign power while still in uniform and lied under oath about what happened while he was there.
I would also hope that he wouldn't get medals for things that he should have received a court martial for.
It's a tragedy that he was killed but the left and the looney tunes aren't happy unless there is a conspiracy and even here, where there was a cover-up that's not good enough, is it ?
It has to be a murder to silence an anti-war critic.

don't know if he was murdered but it still dosen't excuse the army for handling the out come of his death I always thought there was a code of honor in our military institutions how these Generals can just get away with this is very alarming but some how I can see this going much closer to the Department of defense.

Honor is dead. It's a thing of the past. The majority of people today don't have honorable intentions. It's all about personal gain.
