I think the chemicals that we interact with in day to day life is more of a problem than smoking canabis.

I've heard people say things like they hallucinate or hear voices etc. though I've never really had that before. There were times when I was really really stoned, espec after a night out of drinking as well and my mind would be all over the place, but I still wouldn't have anything vivid like that.

Like I said though, everyone is different and I agree cannabis could trigger schizophrenia. It's funny what things are acceptable and not in this modern world.

Perhaps to test the true paranoia effect we should all just wasted and play on PR. Imagine an entire server full of stoned people. That would certainly make an interesting story. Just so long as the paranoia is reserved for the enemy alone and squadmates don't start suspecting their own SMs to be spies.

Think there are quite a few stoned people in every server at any time.

probably, but if everyone joined in it might even the score

I don't think I've ever played PR stoned before because generally it seems like a lot of effort to me, especially the communicating part.

If someone didn't understand or hear you you may get paranoid you've just sent out complete gibberish down the microphone that just doesn't make any sense

Sorry, but this is all over the US news (TV and the local paper) today for some reason. It REALLY bothers me though. The article discusses how marijuana can make you more prone to schizophrenia...sure, i'll buy that. It is psychoactive, which does affect the brain's chemistry. Genetics is the PRIMARY cause of schizophrenia, not LSD or cannabis or whatever else you learned in high school health class. But what about any other mood altering drug, pharmaceutical or otherwise? Couldn't those also trigger congenital brain abnormalities just as easily as marijuana?

It also links marijuana to schizophrenia, THEN links schizophrenia to psychotic murder. What. Schizophrenia does NOT make you more violent, and schizophrenic patients attacking someone due to delusion is as rare as someone WITHOUT schizophrenia attacking anyone. In my experience, people who are stoned are 1. not hallucinating or delusional, if they smoke habitually 2. NOT violent, they are just very passive and sluggish. This is just a mysterious resurgence of reefer madness.

I don't think I've encountered a heavy pot smoker that didn't act brain dead. The same goes for heavy drinkers. I also don't think I've encountered a heavy tobacco smoker that didn't have multiple health issues that kept progressing. I don't think I've met a "lover of sweets" that didn't at least bare stretch marks and flab from earlier obesity; If not, they were noticeably overweight and probably had "back problems" or diabetes.

Balance and moderation is the key to everything in life (though rarely anyone ever obtains it for long). Too much of anything can be bad for you: pure oxygen is dangerous for extended periods, drinking too much water (8-10gals) can cause a comma and death, love to the point of obsession can cause irrational/deadly behavior, etc.

i quit smoking pot recently cause i got sick of the paranoia, uglyass people i smoked with and cant really remember shit as good as i used to (obviously lol) but other than that i doubt pot ALONE leads to any serious mental disability not to mention schizophrenia usually comes from genetics but if your lifes so shitty you gotta alter reality just to have a good time, go ahead

careful tho, sometimes you trip out and start thinkin everythings not real and just a dream and your in a coma!!!!....just me?

I've realized right now how much our culture are different. You people speak freely about smoking cigarettes and pot while in here, people really don't like to speak about it that much. We, brazilians, have a very different idea: who smokes, use drugs, or need chemycals to feel happy is classified as retard, and honestly, I agree with it.

Dude, even whores don't like to f*ck with people who are high. But that's probably because people who are high end up bangin' up the bitches!
