what media player do you use?

I've always used WMP as the old version has a nice library list etc where you could easily sort and find the music you want.

I'm just now getting really sick of how slow it is etc and wondering what other people use as I'm willing to give afew other ones a try

Jetaudio !!!!!! Once you go to that, you don't look back (and that includes most Winamp users)

looks interesting.

EDIT: in fact this dose seem to be the ticket, even works with my remote bob which im surprised with, most media programs like winamp dont let the remote work when the program is running in the background, thou WMP and this do.

- I use Winamp for MP3: http://www.winamp.com/player/

- VLC media player for obscure file streams http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ VLC plays audio as well

- WMP for just one purpose; streaming KEXP's (university of Washington Seattle) 1.4mb live stream (the only uncompressed cd quality audio stream on the net) go to WMP radio tuner search; kexp 1400k You'll need a fairly fast broadband connection to stream it without constant buffering. Or set the buffer fill to at least 30. (tools/options/performance) while there set your connection speed to 1.5mps. Do not let WMP detect the speed.

- Finally to enjoy realplayer streams get; "real alternative" instead of the piggish real player:
http://www.free-codecs.com/download/...lternative.htm It plugs into your present MP3 player.

*You could probably incorporate everything via VLC but setting up the file formats and codex is a true chore.

Winamp and VLC.
Sometimes DivX, Quicktime or Realplayer.

I use Winamp for music, and library management (I like the three-pane system). I use VLC for video, because it's good at playing videos. I also use Amarok, because it's just awesome.
