Winamp for audio, WMP for videos (as it's much less heavier and opens faster) along with tons of codecs that I got from KazaA Codec Pack. And it's fine.

jetAudio for music, VLC and MPC for videos. The occasional .WMV gets played in WMP aswell.

I really like having jetAudio sitting at the top of the screen, with the XAudio Mini Black&Blue skin. It gives you quick acces to the player, and it's really handy in games that I play in windowed mode, like EVE Online.

in the media player, simply click "skin" in the topleft next to "preferences" and you get a new window where you should see all the skins listed. There is the slight possibility that skins don't run in the "free" version of jetaudio perhaps?

personally I haven't found one clearer and easier to use than the default one, so I stick with that.

BTW, any radio streams you find on the net, you won't see a "jetaudio" stream, but the program uses "winamp" streams instead. personally I don't have music on my HDD, a load of audiobooks for my mp3 player, I just stream everything as my tastes are a bit,....obscure. shoutcast.com is a basic place to go to find a load of streams in one place and sort by genre.
