Did we really go to the moon?

Every now and then I see this question pop up on blogs or hear it on radio programs: "Did we really go to the moon?" Evidence is offered on both sides that is contrary to the other. To put this crazy issue to rest I thought...

Why not point a telescope at the moon and just take pictures of the flag, lunar rover, and other items left behind? Heck, our scopes are so good we could probably get a shot of the footprint. Why hasn't anyone thought of this?

(I thikn you mean telescope, because an ACOG can definately not do it).

An operation as big as that can not possibly have been a conspicary. There is a limit to what a government can keep under a lid. We went to the moon.

I imagine NASA and its astronauts really don't care if people believe them. People don't care about the moon now anyways. It's all "Boo hoo I voted for him but I hate him" or "I sure hope that child doesn't die, it's the only thing on TV!".

But to address the OP, if you don't believe NASA and all the related facts, why would you believe the reports from whoever owns the telescopes ?
I'm not even sure you could get enough resolution through the atmosphere anyway.

But I must say it is an original idea for debunking the conspiracy fools.

Until someone proves we didn't, there is all the reason in the world to believe we did go to the moon. Personally I think these guys are crazy with their light shadow theories and such.. and

to that astronauts for a solid right hook. Good form.

It's just one of those things where an easy solution could end the madness.

ON THE OTHER HAND.... it makes me wonder why 1.8 million photos were taken by the 1998 satellite Clementine of which many remain classified to this day. Classified moon photos? Why?

Considering that a NASA engineer told me that there was a substance on the moon that if harnessed correctly, an ounce of it could power a large city for 5 years.
