Military Drill

Okay, I have a couple questions about UK Drill vs American Drill. I'm not trying to get a country flame fest going, I just want to know what that form of drill is expected to look like so when I am looking at different drill teams I can know what they are and arent supposed to do.

So I've heard that the Queens Colour Squadron is the best there is as far as an exhibition drill team goes in the UK. Here's a video of them http://youtube.com/watch?v=5FOuAfcUM40
I watched that and I noticed that they tend to slam the rifles into their shoulders and bounce when they walk. Is that the way drill is meant to look over there? It seems curious cause it's exactly the opposite over here. Take a look at a video of the USMC Silent Drill Platoon. http://youtube.com/watch?v=qv_Q9MtfRHk You see that in this style they never ever move their torsos while performing a movement, quite the opposite in that other video.

And please, I would prefer only men and women who have served or done some sort of organized drill performance (I don't know if you have Highschool and University level Drill teams) to keep the responses as knowledgeable as possible. Thanks a lot guys.
