Rememberance Day 11.11.05
Please take a few minutes to remember the fallen of WW1 and WW2, and of course, the current wars.
We remember them still to this day. |

some times i dont think that it is right to celebrate rememberance day since i had a family on all three sides fighting against eachother. My grandad who was fighting for Britain survived, i dont have no idea what happend to my Italian grandad and my Italian great uncle died on the eastern front fighting fighting the russians for the Germans. you have to take into consideration the other people who are also in the same posisition as me so i choose not to celebrate it.

"They shall not grow old,
As we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, Nor the years condemn, At the going down of the sun And in the morning We will remember them" -- Laurence Binyon (1869-1943) |

Yes, remembering is very important. Notice how alot of conflicts are compared to past conflicts... this is because people are trying avoid the mistakes done in the past. Hopefully our modern day civilization can finally learn from the past. So far, we've been doing a pretty good job :]

![]() In Flanders fields the poppies blow Between the crosses, row on row, That mark our place; and in the sky The larks, still bravely singing, fly Scarce heard amid the guns below. We are the Dead. Short days ago We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow, Loved, and were loved, and now we lie In Flanders fields. Take up our quarrel with the foe: To you from failing hands we throw The torch; be yours to hold it high. If ye break faith with us who die We shall not sleep, though poppies grow In Flanders fields. John McCrea |

That's the main trouble with war ...
The endless poetry. |
