I watched that a few days ago and efter watching the end a few times I saw the black dude get hit first.
Because he was standing up, no other reason IMHO.

What an awesome knockout.

I'm glad that I've practiced Judo and Jiu Jitsu for two years now. Even if I'd do my best to avoid fighting, the white guy was clearly drunk and looking for trouble. That's when self defense comes to be a useful tool.
