From the topic, I thought it meant she'd had some kind of fiber-optic implant installed that allowed her to interface with some kind of machine (possibly medical/diagnostic? I dunno). Probably because I'm still eagerly awaiting the day I can find a backstreet surgeon willing to install a firewire port into my central nervous system
