Oh yes!! They are all posted on Stage6, but sites like these are popping up everywhere that allow you to find them. Normally the movie is uploaded as 55t2t2tgs or 'my thanks giving 2004', to slow the speed of it being deleted.

The Contractor, the snipes version of shooter, isn't that good. I warn.

Anyway, a word of advice, the more people know about the sites, the faster things get deleted. I suggest telling friends only.

PS - its also legal to watch it, its only illegal if you download it, host it or upload it. Streaming is 100% legal.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. Streaming IS downloading. As far as I know, there were no court cases anywhere that would prove it either legal or illegal. Either way, downloading probably won't get you in trouble, as they'd have to prove that you downloaded the movie - just having the file by itself is not illegal.

You need to have it on your computer for no more than 24 hours before it becomes illegal. I think it works the same way as emulators and roms.

Copyright and Patents Act

Scroll down to 56 - all wording is in relation to the owner and distributor, it says nothing about a third party.

68 states a recording must be destroyed within 28 days.

72 goes on to say if someone has not paid to see something, but is shown it, again no copy right infringement.

There is also an interesting area in 107

Quote:
(2) A person commits an offence who—

(a) makes an article specifically designed or adapted for making copies of a particular copyright work, or
(b) has such an article in his possession,

knowing or having reason to believe that it is to be used to make infringing copies for sale or hire or for use in the course of a business.

(3) Where copyright is infringed (otherwise than by reception of a broadcast or cable programme)—

(a) by the public performance of a literary, dramatic or musical work, or
(b) by the playing or showing in public of a sound recording or film,
The first clearly relates to uploading and hosting, but its 2.b that gets me since it has to provide the legal time frame of 68. Again, everything is related to the person hosting or uploading the work.

This is all iffy ground though since I have 12 months before I do my CPE course to be eligible to train as a solicitor or barrister. I shall delve deeper into the legal abyss
(PS - also take note this is UK law)
