I've been a fan of TW since the amazing Shogun came out. I played M2TW out of the box at full settings and I just about blew my mind. But at full settings things start getting a bit laggy at four full armies, so I'm already planning on my new computer...the NVidia 7800 GT will be superceded by a top of the line 8800 and at least one quad core...

After all Battle of Britain Storm of War will be out soon too..

I played the campaign mode for 8+ hours today

Haha yea, I'm still in my first game cause I decided to play the long campaign. I'm in about 130-140 turns and am doing ok, but kinda had my ass beat a couple times, especially when the Pope crusaded my ass. Worst part is, ze Germans own Dijon(I'm playin France), which used to be my sweet money maker. But I took 3 of the forts(Metz, Schausdflhneouh, and something) on the border, as well as Genoa(decent money maker), and Milan(w00t capital. I had to execute the population to prevent too much unrest). Plus I lost southern France, cept for Marseille.

Only reason I played France was I wanted Templars, but I found out anyone can get Templars. Maybe I'll do a short game playin Spain or England or somethin.

Are shorter games worth it? Or do they seem too short? I mean I only got gunsmiths not too long ago.

Yeah im playing as france to, I think I have Milan,The holy roman empire, Denmark and someone else in a war against me. Im about to attack milan's capital

i have all TW games except shogun and love them
i think i prefer rome to medieval 2 though, medieval 2 seems to be alot ........slower than rome total war - would love to play online on mediavel total war 2 though but ive never known anyone else who played it, you guys got xfir and sort out a massive battle?

Hehe watch out. If you're in a similar turn as me, they have ballista towers there.
