Trog, if you're thinking about fighting with these knives, let me give you some advice. Stay out of knife fights. They're quick, brutal, and not something one would ever want to have to go through.

Edit: And if these words are falling on deaf ears, get a longer knife. I have a Camillus Kabar look-alike. It's tough steel. So tough infact that now that use has dulled it, I cannot use my whetstone to bring it up to "Razor" sharpness, only to a sharpness that passes a paper cutting test.

Bahaha, "for protection". Trog, you really are a total tool.

If some bitch starts swinging for you, swing back. If he pulls a blade. Run. If he pulls a gun, put your head between your legs and kiss your ass goodbye. Oh, an rest safe in the knowledge that pulling a knife probably wouldnt of helped you.

America was a tad late into the First World War. They redeemed themself's and came in slightly sooner in the Second. Now they seem determined to start the Third.

Have seen people carry knives for 'protection', only to be disarmed and get stabbed with their own knife. Not big or clever.

So if you get into a fight with one of those things, not only can you be done for assault, but you will also get done with assault with a deadly weapon, along with the various other charges of actual bodily harm. Any main trunk injuries to your victim, and you're looking at attempted murder. Carry that in the UK, and you'll be shot on site if you wave it about.

I suggest you get a penis pump instead. Seems like you need it if you're a knife freak.

Seriously Trogdor, how much of an attention seeker are you if you go onto a public forum and ask people their opinion's on what knife to buy....?

Some of the people I know carry blades but I know they'll be fuck all use in a fight. BTW, as Gaz said, here in the UK you'd be shot on sight (not sure if that's the correct word for it or not, meh.) I'm pretty sure the American police force who carry guns as standard and don't see the harm in shooting down a fleeing suspect will soon be throwing a few 9mm rounds your way at 1,200ft a second.

Have you been in a knife-fight Trog? More importantly, have you ever been trained in a martial art that includes knives as part of its discipline?

If the answer to either of the above is "No" then do not get a knife for self protection: you can read as much as you like about the use of knives in combat (and by combat I don't mean in war but a 1-on-1 or more situation where you are in a fight for your life) but that just isn't going to cut the mustard (no pun intended) when it comes to getting messy.
Instead, rely on you forehead, elbows, knees, knuckles & teeth Sure; you can be arrested and charged for beating the 7 shades of shit out of your assailant/s but parts of your own body are not going to be deemed concealable deadly weapons.

It's the easiest thing in the world to pull a knife, whack a guy and end a life if you have no idea how to correctly utilise the weapon. Depending where you live you'll be looking at life in prison or the death sentence.

Save your knives for camping or, alternatively, join your country's armed forces and get paid to run around waving your Gerber, or whatever you decide to buy, at the enemy.

What's French for "déjà vu"?

Phil Collins doesn't cut it around here
