Is it just me or does anyone else think that the timing of these incidents is more than coincidental? Call me crazy but I find it a bit fishy that the day Gordon Brown and his new cabinet are set to meet to discuss constitutional reform (which in many ways is desperately needed), this happens which then focuses discussion on counter-terrorism. The incidents were not traditional suicide attacks, they were car bombs that were "found" without causing damage.
Its true that it could be any kind of mad splinter terrorist group flying the flag for God knows what who is behind the bungled attempts, I appreciate that and I appreciate that it may not be some conspiracy. However the timing of the incidents, and the fact they caused no fatalities/damage at all just makes people afraid and focus on the terror threat, rather than actual change that needs to be discussed in the new PM's cabinet meetings. In a way its similar to how fox hunting used to appear in the news occasionally which would divert peoples attention away from problems core issues that needed to be discussed then, such as the NHS etc. |

2 things have happened recently:
Gordon Brown took over. And Salaman Rushdie was knighted. Glad no one has been killed. On a lighter note, the internet seems to be on the side of the british (and scottish): ![]() ![]() |

No one on the internet is on our side. Americans thing we are all toffs, the Aussies think we are twats, the EU things we are wankers, the middle east things we are satan, China thinks we are dumb, Japan knows we are dumb, Canadians still deny we rule them, Africa tries to take advantages of us, and we are at each others throats internally to boot.
Infact, the only country that likes us is Nepal, and we treat them like shit for it! Lets be honest, we are more hated than America. Bloody good effort chaps. Bravo. |

Well no, but saying we're more hated than America is a stupid idea. We just have useless fucking wankers doing immigration.
