my mates parents have these on their dogs. They have lil' flags around the house and garden that indicate the "zones" they may not cross into.
Even without the collars the dogs will not move into these areas. I've never seen them get shocked though (for same reason). I wouldn't recommend using them on yourself |

I can't get the damn thing to shock me.
I wonder if it'll even work on the dog, but no matter what I try, it won't shock. Cost $90, lol. |

Might be like an AED and determine the electrical resistance of the body it's attached to and refuse to shock if it doesn't meet pre-set pereameters, in order to prevent exactly this kinda thing from happening.
If a guy with a pacemaker attached it, for example, it could royally screw things up for him (read: kill him), and I'm sure dog collar companies aren't too keen to expose themselves to that kind of threat. |
