If you tried to do this in BF2/PR, any of the following would happen:
  • The chopper would explode the moment the rear ramp got wet
  • The chopper would explode the moment the boat touched the ramp
  • The crew would slide out of the chopper the moment they exited the boat
  • A smacktard soloing the cobra would ram the chopper, killing the crew, the operators inside the boat, himself, and causing a collision between two APCs whose drivers would be staring at the explosion, mesmerized, and not paying attention to the road

or, most likely, The chopper pilot would be a noob who claims he can fly and would flip the chopper on take off killing all aboard

You could try on an LAN on operation ghost train or something with merlin and RIB, but then again when the vehicle even has the slightest bump of water it blow up.

Btw, already tried doing something like this on Basrah (with soldiers, over a river). It kind of works, but the pilot has to have a lot of patience and ability to keep the chopper nailed perfectly still. In the end it worked
