its all about wording in a way to create dramatic effect. it produces the same energy as that of the suns surface infared heat radiation, which can also be gamma radiation.(and befor i forget, lets remember this is underwater so theres no air fo those of you talking about bonds in air and stuff like traces of noble gases becasue they wont be in the water) so the two parts of the claw come to together magnificently quicly, which pushes the water infront of the claws, out of the way.quickly. there wont be bubbles of air because air cant just 'appear' and they wont be bubbles of vacuum because, well - just think about it. so waves of water are pushed away with a wavelength at the top of the scale (infared) which would create the possibility of the same energy as the sun. heat is created by the rapid acceleration of water particles and light is created by the burst of infared befor it is absobed by the water.

well u actully see in the video bubbles , and bubbles must contain gas or there wont be any bubbles.
