its not sound energy which created the heat , its light emited by the collapsing bubble is of very very very short wave length , and light of shorter wave lengths have higher energy , and i think the light is created by the ionisation of a small fraction of the noble gas, like argon , and these ionised atoms interact with neutral atoms causing radiation (the light emision). thats the theory anywy , and like my physics teacher said:

also sound can cause heat i think , heat is just vibration of atoms when it comes to atomic structures ( not including light) so if the sound waves r strong enough then the atoms in a compound will vibrate alot and heat.
