At a guess, they are a top heavy corrupt organization that really just supplies warlords and dictators and do very little to alleviate the suffering they were created to combat ?
I don't know if thats' true but it is true for the UN in general so it's a reasonable guess.
But I don't see where he mentioned Unicef.

But it is not a larvae, it is a human being and we require that humane beings be treated a certain way.
Which is something I don't understand. Why is it that we humans are so much more special, and should be treated so much better than other animals, just because we have a higher brain function?

Armed, Unicef is the part of the UN that tries to help children.

http://www.unicef.org/whatwedo/index.html

You can't tell me that you can mind that, right? They were mentioned at the bottom of the article, the Vatican stopped supporting them in 1996 after they helped women (judging by the organization, teenage girls) in refugee camps who had been the victims of a rape.

I don't any details about UNICEF ( will watch vid later, running late at the moment, well she is but... ) and I was offering an opinion as to why LJ didn't like UNICEF.
But what I have read is that NGOs like UNICEF, take western secular values and promote them in traditional areas and that pisses off the locals and breeds resentment.
this quote from their site is an example: All children deserve a quality education founded on a rights-based approach and rooted in the concept of gender equality
Gender equality is a new and primarily western idea.

Now I don't excuse the Vatican for it's utterly stupid take on contraception and I think rape is a case where abortion should be allowed.
But again I think there should be some sort of due process before you extinguish a human life.
Western culture, the secular side, i do not believe is enough to guide a society.
I think belief in a power greater than you is needed to keep the large majority of people in line and to that end the Vatican serves a purpose.
But like the Muslims they need to update to remain relevant.

Personally I think we should take all the money that goes into weed enforcement and apply it to sex crimes.
The fact that wherever the UN goes the "sex worker" industry booms is rather telling.

EDIT: plans changed, she left w/o me.
That is a very disturbing film. I wonder what the clips about Jews mean in terms of Brazilians feelings towards them. I also wonder why a Japanese guy is growing tomatoes in Brazil.

Clips about Jews ? apart from one mention about the fact they don't eat pork I don't remember any other moments where they are mentioned.

As for Japanese presence in Brazil:

Quote:
Brazil is the Latin American country that has received the most ethnic Japanese immigrants, as well having the largest Japanese population outside of Japan, numbering an estimate of more than 1.5 million,[1] slightly bigger than that of the 1.2 million in the United States
source

And would just like to add to all those watching this short movie (which won numerous prizes in the world). Is to be read as a satire in the same way the "Persian Letters" where.
