How about putting the child up for adoption? He doesn't even have to know about that history. Doesn't matter how you slice it, it's a human life, and yeah horrible things happen in this world, but we have to deal with it.

You can't just play God and decide who gets to live and who gets to die just because of what is more convenient.

People, this isn't Western society. Out here, if you get raped and have a baby (which isn't likely), people are going to sympathize with you. Out there, -you- are going to get blamed, not the ******* who did it. And not only are you going to suffer from it, so is the child. That child is pretty much sure to have a miserable youth, if he even survives, and looking at the amount of people who have AIDS there, he is damn likely to have that too. Is that a way for a child to be born into this world?

That's my stance on it as well. You can find many cases where in middle eastern countries, women are stoned to death for being raped. Although they may need to suffer in silence to live, help like this can save their life since a big sign such as a baby falling out would be avoided.

Sure, I agree that abortion shouldn't be used as a contraceptive, but in cases of rape and such, especially in extreme countries such as Somalia or Pakistan, its life and death.

The Vatican is not stopping anyone from having an abortion, less funds for AI might make it more difficult to get one in a 3rd world country but that choice is still there.

Well tbh thats kind of what happens afterwards when they are born:

Born in a poor black neighborhood ? single mother ? rape child ?
Ill named Social security ? a basic education ? high crime neighborhood ? psychological trauma ? homeless ? etc

How many of those people do we cross in the street everyday and just ignore ?
And even if you don't ignore them, well what can you do ? for one and then for the thousands ?

So yeah letting women have children by choice rather then by default, involves some hard choices. Its not even the principal reason why it exists.
But its one of its by products. As a society where children are really desired and taken care of is ultimately a better one.

If people think that its an easy choice for women to make, you are dead wrong. And for the rare cases where it isn't, well they might as well not become parents anyways.

One thing is weird: if a woman gets raped by some moron and gives a birth to a baby, why does the society blame her and the child?

In Turkey, they even used to kill women, that got raped, since they became a "disgrace" to the family...while the Hill Billy Boy kept raping women from village to village..
