Player for BF2 Demos
I've heard a rumor about a player which can play BF2 demo files without the game running ( like Mplayer maybe ). Anything true about this?

Yes, you type "demo.recorddemo name" in the console while in singleplayer or in a local server and it records a movie of the battle that you can play back later via the Community menu

All you have to do is figure out what the file format is. What is the file format?
