I think I saw the raw video footage of that somewhere, once. It's pretty crazy, but the tangled chute did slow the guy down a bit, which is probably why he survived.

It's "Relevant" because "Kiwi's" the national nickname for New Zealanders are basically cool people. They have a Nuclear Warship ban, have traditionally maintained a progressive society and government.
