Computer Help.

Okay, In order to fit my Graphics card, I need to remove my NEW chipset cooler on my motherboard.

New Chipset Cooler that won't allow my graphics card to fit:

My chipset fan broke a few months ago, so all that works on the OLD chipset cooler is the heatsink.

Old Chipset Cooler:

My Motherboard is an A8N SLi Deluxe

So my question to you is...

Will be motherboard will be safe if I only use my broken fan with heatskin only? I'll be getting a new fan eventually, but will it do for now?

I'm installing a HIS 512MB Radeon X1950 Pro, and its a MASSIVE card.

Thanks Nick.

If it does not take a shit as soon as you turn it on you are good to go. So basically I would say you will be ok as long as the ambient temps in the case are cool.

I've got an Extractor and 3 fans on the case.

Thanks Nick.

it should be fine as long as your overall environment temp is kept cool, but with that huge 1950 that has known issues with heat, it might be a problem.

Its got the HIS cooler on it, not the crappy Sapphire one, so it should be okay.

Thanks Nick.
