Forgotten Hope 2 information!

Looks like they've taken a leaf from PR, they are going all out with realism including features such as "Push" (AAS) Kit limiting and officer kits. I am sort of happy they have stolen a few of PR's key features, imo it will make it an awesome mod .

This is new though

Spotting
The spotting system has been overhauled. Grunts yell out loud. They do not communicate their discovery of enemies to their team via radio, nor is a red marker placed on the unit. Fireteam leaders do communicate spots using the radio. Markers are placed on enemy units using the binoculars.

This provides increased atmosphere in two ways: much less radio spam, and soldiers close-by yelling to communicate.

Forgotten Hope has been using the Push Mode since 0.6, I think... So I don't think they have "taken a leaf" from PR... Looks nice though, FH2 will be popular once it comes out..

FH was the unsaid realism mod for BF1942 anyway. So FH2'S going to be a great variation for us PR players.

Oh that screen shot looks so nice. I hope that FH2 does not drop the ball with this release.

The one thing that really worries me is that FH2 will not have the solid teamwork that PR has. It took PR a long time to get consistant teamwork on a regular puby server so FH2 will need that time as well. I just don't know if I can wait for the huge amount of vBF2 players jumping into FH2 to get with the program I downloaded EoD2 and played it for all of a few hours before saying "no deal" not playing with that community. It was painfull to be in a squad with no voip, constant run and gun and half the team sniping. I know FH2 is going to have allot of this mentality at first but it should come around, man I hope it does

Cheers,

Close your eyes and imagine some really cool military picture, or better yet a really funny picture in this space. I said close your eyes damnit!

Naw, FH/FH2 has a cult following. When FH came out for BF42 the clans that sprung up around it, played it seriously. As far as Pubs go, man if you don't team up, you get smeared just like you did when you first played PR. Like when I first played FH I thought I was a badass DC vet and rapidly got humbled into teaming up with a anti-tanker and some other infantry before I even thought about moving out on those Hugh maps. Plus the voip and squads set-up for BF2 engine, I'd say we're in for some excellent teamwork.
