For anyone 'round here who is interested in this kind of things, or if you are politically active.

Someone made a boo-boo.

I find it amusing that the lefties can find fault with everything but their own policies.

I don't suppose that these lefty agendas have anything to do with why traditional Muslims resent the west and their intrusions.
I'm sure that the 8 year old found the "true" cause of the insurgents motivation.

Just imagine all the documents around the country on databases that have this kind of mistake on them.

These 'Lefties' and 'Righties' name callings is really growing old, the world is a bit more of a complex and diverse place then those two denominations.

And I didn't know that Iraq was invaded to give Iraq women a right to choose or to otherwise let their homosexuals out of the closet. Isn't it a wonderful world ?

Cool

Iraq was invaded because Saddam posed a clear and present threat.
He supported terrorist Muslims.

Those extreme Muslims are enraged by the above agendas which are supported by the left wing of western society.

Now you can spout all you BS about the lack of WMDs and the lack of a clear and documented trail of paperwork connecting Saddam and Al Queda but the simple fact is that western nations, alone and via the UN are pushing a set of values on much of the world that is not wanted.
Those values are clearly to the "left" so the labels are accurate.

While the problems facing the modern world are very complex that does not mean that there are not clear demarcations between the outlooks and methods for dealing with those problems.

The Arabs and the Muslims very obviously do not embrace modern secular values and the attempt by the west to impose those values on traditional cultures is the basis for much of the antipathy in the world for the west and America in particular.

Salon is left leaning "publication" and this story is just another attempt to play Monday-morning quarterback with regards to the conduct of US/Coalition forces in Iraq.

It's not a surprise that firing the whole Iraqi Army was a bad idea but again, the LEFT has nothing but back biting criticism and a desire to flee to offer as a solution to the problem in Iraq and extremist terrorism.

I believe even your countrymen have recognized the fallacy of appeasement.

if u knew what ur talking about, then you'd know that saddam and al quaeda had completely different ideas about how a state should look like. saddam was quite laicist, where al quaeda is for an islamic state => they were natural enemies...

edit: america is not liked anywhere because of the arrogant, selfish and obviously imperialistic behaviour of the current administration. and i don't wanna get into all the havoc american foreign policy has wrecked all over the world in the last century.

Ahahahaha! Do you know what Saddam did to Extremist/rebels/seppratist?!

I suggest you get a hold of some vintage Baath execution videos, lots of close up head shots by Saddam himself.
