I think it's a bit harsh to say they're no worse than any other organized religion- your local church doesn't chase critics around town with lawyers in the back of an SUV, or use 'personality tests' to identify psychological weaknesses then brainwash people into abandoning their families & bank accounts.

The most fucked up thing for me about scientology is when you discover a musician or actor you previously had some respect for turns out to be one. Beck, Juliette Lewis, Chick Correa...

Any 'religion' started by a man who has previously been quoted as saying "Writing for a penny a word is ridiculous. If a man really wants to make a million dollars, the best way would be to start his own religion" is obviously going to be a load of bullshit. I like the way the documentary was originally meant to give a balanced view of it, but the CoS effectively prevented them from doing any such thing.
