umm, crappy CPU (only 1.86 dual core!), your using a onboard sound card, low RAM, SATA drives when you could be useing RAID. Your not gonna be able to use the 8800 at all with this setup IMHO.

The 6300 is a very good CPU, although I would bump it up to a 6400 if I were you.

ONboard sound is actually pretty good nowadays, but if you want to splooge, get an X-Fi.

He said he's going to put in more RAM.

I'd spring the extra 30 bucks and get the "Creative Labs SB Audigy SE" hardware sound card over that on-board you selected. Other than that your system looks solid to me. Although I gotta say I looked into CyberPower twice and ended up both times going with: http://www.abscomputers.com/

Viper5 the second system you posted looks realy good. A couple of things, you don't show the PSU or Screen your using? Don't under estimate the PSU, I would recommend the Corsair 520w or 620w both could handle that system. The 620w can actually run 8800GTX in SLI so it would be a little more future proof. If you are going with a 22" + LCD I would strongly suggest the 8800GTS 640mb, the extra ram become important on the big LCD's.

If you are willing to do a bit of learning and tweaking you could drop down to a 6420 cpu and OC it a bit to match (or beat if you want to farther) the 6600 cpu. The C2D cpu are huge overclockers so you could buy cheap and OC up extremoverclocking.com is great site for more info and guides.

Trogdor1289- I see allot weak points in that system, sorry.

Cheers,

Close your eyes and imagine some really cool military picture, or better yet a really funny picture in this space. I said close your eyes damnit!

Viper-

I think these are pretty good hardware choices overall. I just built almost this same exact system. The only difference was a 250GB hardrive with a 16MB cache, and antec tru power trio 650W PSU and a 20X DVD/CD Reader writer (you didn't list a PSU or Optical drive). I paid $1350 with rebates and shipping, so, I would recommend building it yourself to save a lot of cash.

Also FYI, according to the Inquirer Intel readies more price cuts , Now that AMD has officially announced their Phenom line more Intel price cuts are coming soon.
