Well, if you think 11 marine deaths are insane, then keep laughing.
You see all this kind of stuff surface on websites like U-Tube and such and people don't realize that people die from stuff like this. And they choose to laugh at it. Think of how scared the men in that chopper must have been at the last moments of there life. So, next time you watch a video on the interenet like that, think about it for a sec before you post something like "lol awesome".

Don't be too quick to criticize people for laughing at something like that, the choices are either laugh at it and go about your business or think about how shitty it really is and feel like crap. There's a Calvin and Hobbes that goes something like this (i don't have the book on me to quote it right).

Calvin is talking to Hobbes about humor, and he says, don't you think it's really weird that we laugh at things that are so abusrd, we don't understand them we just laugh at them. and Hobbes says, well if we didn't laugh at them what would we do? And Calvin says something along the lines of "I don't know if I think that's really funny or really scary"

I just don't think most people get genuine humor out of it, it's just a defense mechanism.
