I'm guessing its a combination of a good smack in the water, meaning most of them probably were knocked unconscious or otherwise, and the fact that the chopper sank like a stone didn't help either. It just went down so fast, its amazing.

Don't forget that the engines were still on, the rotors must have spinned a little bit before the water stopped them if even....

So that may have pulled them down further.....

The rotors were ripped off. A chopper is a big thing of heavy metal. It will sink. You can't just jump off a boat in the middle of an ocean. Think of the shock they must of had when they were turned over. When they make landings, they're all strapped in for safety, specially when your landing on a platform like that.

The Seaknight doesn't appear to have many exits either. I did a helicopter-underwater-escape thing once, but there were exits everywhere, and I had a huge-ass life vest.

I just ignore the comments on you tube because its always ful lof people saying "I hate you blood sucking americans! Get out or die!" or "Yeah! Hoorah! Kill those fking muslims! Wheres your Allah now?!".

Its just Iraq online which is what we have PR for.

I would say at least 25% of the outrageous posts are there just to make people like me and many of you angry and have no other purpose.
I know I have posted nasty responses to YouTube comments because some of the stuff was so off the wall.
