Paper on the History of Science
Well, I have to write a paper on the history of science(for a philosophy class).
I'm doing how science went from absolute to phenomenological(relative) truth. I need about one more page to go, but I'm shit out of ideas and expanding the rest. Here's what I had so far: Aristotle Francis Bacon Copernicus/Osiander Newton vs Leibniz Einstein's special and general relativity Paradigms, scientific realism, instrumentalism, and post-modern historical view of science HELP ME! Though I don't know how to expand on scientific realism and instrumentalism, aside from the basic point of it. |

If your interested in this sort of the you should read the Baroque Cycle trilogy by Neal Stephenson, its all about natural philosophy and that stuff in the 18th century, it talks all about newton v Leibnez, but considering its kind of historical science fiction its actually a really fun read

Blackhawk was being a smart ass, I assume; but if you look for some 6-8th century Islamic thinkers you might get a different perspective on science.
Eye wint two publik skrewl so I can't help you much but I do know that during the Islamic Golden age science was advanced a great deal and it sounds like you are concentrating on western science so a little variety might give you some new ideas. |
