Care to ask it .

But yeah.. there are way too many ArmA threads...

Hopefully they sort out the performance issues.

Arma in my eyes has been such a disappointment and is definitely not worth buying for as many as 2 years. Ridiculous.

It's so annoying considering the pedigree of Operation Flashpoint which I still play but Arma has a rubbish campaign, clunky motion, unfinished vehicles, more bugs than an EA game, unoptimised engine, no mod tools, unrealistic damage and weapon values and poorly implemented multiplayer. Only someone who wanted to play coop all day long would be interested.

I just hope, unlike the farce of addons for OpF, that Arma will have more imaginative and complete campaigns and mods, maybe even a worthwhile expansion in about 12+ months time. Right now it's a waste to money that I was looking forward to for nearly half a decade.

Yeah the campaign is crap, I've hardly touched it, but I see ArmA as a game focusing more on MP and luckily that's what I enjoy the most.

clunky motion,
I really can't say I agree with you there, the motion might be somewhat complex yes but it has everything I ever wanted in an infantry sim, and eeh I'll take "clunky" motion any day over a Instaprone-bunny-hopping-no lean-crawl-while-shooting-can't-move-head-independently game any day

BTW in my opinion OFP was way more clunky.

unfinished vehicles
Yeah annoying I know, but at least they're working on it.

more bugs than an EA game,
Which half the time are caused by people failing to realize that it's not the game but their PC's causing problems, the real bugs are being worked on unlike EA

unoptimised engine
Have you tried the new beta patch? Made a world of difference for me.
Quote:
no mod tools,
They are beeing developed, you can't seriously expect mod tools to develop themselfs in a day and not be beta tested?
Quote:
unrealistic damage and weapon values
Also beeing worked on, personally I haven't seen any errors in that area which are game killers so...

and poorly implemented multiplayer.
Care to elaborate more on that? I fail to see how. Hell I can host a game on my computer right now with ArmA without even installing any kind on software, I think that's awesome.

Yes ArmA seems to be more MP oriented as opposed to OFP.

Been watching Buffalo Soldiers to much again, eh?

The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.

i love that film.

it was pretty much a replica of that moment, the AI told me to move some where, which i turned all the huds off so had to rely on my map reading skills, which failed.

oh and one thing, i have the track ir(look for it on you tube), which basicly means i get freelook on at all times and it freaking great.

@WNxLT7 think of it more of PR on a bigger scale and with russians

Are they going to release a US demo? The optimization is horrible so I dont really want to get it unless I can see how much FPS the US one will give me
