Why would you leave random models in, it is so un-proffessional and messy and well, un-finished in my view.

Like they never bothered to check the code for bits that were not needed or did they plan for mods to make use of these random extras?

The Maverick as well. F15's wouldn't suit basrah though, you could argue A10's don't either.

Wow, it seems that pre-bf2 promo vid has many of the 'new' menu features that are in Battlefield 2142, as well as some of the functionality.

Why does this make me hate EA even more?

Regardless, the video looks way more like vanilla play than PR.

The Menu looked rly rly cool, much better than the one we hoave now. And those Iron sights were also hell of a lot better than now IMO.

I'm quite sure they dumbed the whole game down to make 2142 something more then just an expansion pack(which is all it is). Everything in that vid looked better. The graphics looked nicer, the movement was better, the sounds were better, the engine had a semi-destructible environment, the laser designator actually worked, etc. Why so much dumbing down? I know I pre-ordered my copy months ahead of the release based on these videos so I don't imagine it was to appeal to the mass audience.

Thanks luizinhuu for the find

Kinda like a concept car, it looks bad ass, makes you want it and when it actually comes out it's a stripped down grocery getter.

Ditto, I'm sure if they showed us what BF2 was really going to look like way back when I"m sure pre-orders wouldn't of been as high.

Anyway's what about these sounds n' stuff, were they included in the retail version or no? (And does anyone know the directory of all the sounds in BF2?)

BTW: Check out the hum-v and black hawk in the beginning.
