Yes they are both mods but they are not competing mods. It's not like PR is taking players away from them.

I would try Goldeneye only because the N64 version is what got me hooked on shooting people, preferably in the back, from long range.

I would only be slightly interested in the mod as much as I LOVED the N64 game, the thing that made it so great was sitting there with your friends right there playing yelling at eachother and such, at least that's what got me crazy about the game. It was simply the first really good FPS for a console. Kind of like HALO, it's not a GREAT game, but it's a GOOD first person shooter and its 4 players on one box.
