"24" and the question of torture.

Interesting article about "24" and its evolution on the use of torture in it.
If you know the show quite well, you can skip to the end of page 1.
(the end of the article is more about Surnow the shows creator, interesting but less on topic. )

I'd appreciate this thread not become a slug fest between the two aisles... so keep it mature people. As if it was up to me, quick swipes would get you banned for the day.

I always struggle with this concept, namely due to the problem of the person either being totally innocent and the torturer not believing that leading to problems or else the innocent person lying to stop the torture. Another problem would be the guilty person lying again to stop the torture.

There is also the question of how torture even if it is effective would affect the person doing it.

I honestly would have no second thoughts if that's what I was paid to do, and felt just in doing it.

Then you wouldn't be hired to do it. They do pysch tests on these people and anyone who comes up with psychopathic tendency's is kicked out. I believe it is because they tend to not stop and go way too far.

Good, I probably would go too far.
Anywho, let's not derail this thing.
