A Little Nervous...

So uh ya, I am a little nervous here about my graphics card. Just lately, about two days ago I beleive, I started to experience more of my textures being "shiny" in game, the only things that do this though is the sandbags and the low rockwalls on BF2. So ya I was just wondering if anybody knows what is going on with my card or if it is something else. I knidda want to know if I should replace it or not.

The shiny sandbags is a usual glitch, nothing to worry about. Can't remember what causes it but there are some video setting you can change to prevent it.

my 8800GTS does it and I was scared. I would stick my hand by my fan to feel the temp, and it seemed alright.

Thank god its only a glitch.

lol I have much bigger problems, I have a new X1950 pro and my textures would go completely black. Alt tabbing fixes it for 15 min or so.

That means your video card has run out of memory for textures and any textures that were not able to upload to the card will just be rendered black. Best way to ease the strain on your video card's memory limitations is to reduce Anti-Aliasing, Anisotropic Filtering, and your various BF2/PR texture settings.
