No, that was Ward Churchill.
Chomsky condemned the 9-11 attacks out of hand.

"Whereas Chomsky condemned 9-11 and viewed it as a terrorist attack, Churchill argued that the World Trade Center, like the Pentagon, was a military not a civilian target, and thus flying planes into the twin towers was not an act of terrorism. In imprecise language at best, Churchill declared that the 2,977 people killed in the “sterile sanctuary of the twin towers” were not innocent victims, but rather “little Eichmanns.” Without nuance or qualification, Churchill argued that those killed in the World Trade Center were as culpable for US violence as top Nazi bureaucrat Adolf Eichmann was for Hitler’s “final solution.” In his now infamous words, Churchill said, “those in the World Trade Center ... were civilians of a sort. But innocent? Gimme a break. They formed a technocratic corps at the very heart of America’s global financial empire—the “mighty engine of profit” to which the military dimension of U.S. policy has always been enslaved—and they did so both willingly and knowingly.”

Can't say I agree with that sentiment but I'm not a professor at the University of Colorado so WTF do I know?

What's French for "déjà vu"?

Phil Collins doesn't cut it around here

Well it is true that the Pentagon is a military target. But the passengers of the plane weren't.

Agreed, as has been agreed by all objective people here so many times and in so many other locked threads.

Ward Churchill and Noam Chomsky are not in the same league.
One is plagaristic fake Native American, the other is a world renowned scholar.

The future leaders of our military certainly deserve to hear opposing viewpoints on the war and Noam is the best qualified to deliver that info.
Churchill is a footnote in the history of a-hole wanna be celebrity professors.

It's eearly morning so I don't have time to watch but I look foward to
watching him speak to the cadets.

I finally finished the the whole series and once again he makes a great argument that we are to blame.
I don't see how that changes the security problem we have today due to radical religous terrorists.
The mistakes of the past can not be corrected by new mistakes with better intentions. For better or worse we are at war with the terrorists and those who support them and the lack of moral justification for the war doesn't mean we should surrender.
