I play akoestic gitar and listen to music whenever possible basically. I collect old LP's from 60's 70's, mostly British old rock music but I also listen to heavy, thrash, black metal sometimes and things inbetween there. Now listening to The Moody Blues.

wow that's a lotta musical skill, you should get together & compose some new intro music with live instruments. maybe a prog death-reggae style would suit the range of tastes.

I have to say that iron cross guitar is fucking cool as hell!

I play bass myself. I'm sadly a left handed player and I had my beginners left hander stolen, so I'm playing my friends crappy bass restrung upsidedown, which really sucks because the knobs get in the way.

I have about 40GBs of music on my computer.

I collect records as well, but I'm not a record collector, I buy records with the intent on listening to them

I'm in a band that's just starting off, I really don't know what we are going to sound like, but hopefully have enough of our own songs in the next 30 days so we can play a show in feb. But I'm sure the band will sound something like, or you can tell we pulled influences from hardcore punk, 60's garage punk, and 77 punk. To someone that knows nothing about music, imagine the ramones or sex pistols, beatles or rolling stones, put together. To thoughs that DO know music our influences are Battalion of Saints, Black Flag, Government Warning, The Victims (from AU), the Rocks (AU as well), the Sonics, the Move, Gun Club, and many many others!

After reading my last post on this thread, I just want to say that my band has a show set up at the end of Febuary, though we aren't ready we got forced into it! Our drummer Karen her birthday is on the 24th, and the record store she works at (and we hang out at all the time and practice downstairs) puts on free shows almost every saturday. And so there was going ot be a big party for her, and everyone who has seen us practice were "So do you guys want to play the show? So are you guys going to play the show? I heard you guys are playing the show! When are you guys going on at the show?" so a somewhat disaster will ensue!
