But Sardukar have mahoosive machineguns! And look really cool! And thier officers have lasers!. Then agian, maybe I should extend my knowlege of the Dune universe beyond Emperor: Battle for Dune. And sardukar are one of the few infantry units that fremen cant kill in 1 hit.

There are the prequel books co written by the son.
Buy them all, it's a great saga.

BTW: Lasers are of very limited use in the Dune world due to the Holtzmann effect which is explained in detail in the prequel books set before the Butlerian Jihad.

Meh, in emperor they were only really limited against the Ordos. Because thier laser tanks had sheilds, which ment that while lasers were 1 hit kills against them, it also killed the firer. Which also made ordos vs ordos skirmish matches hillarious.

that is the Holtzmann effect, lasers tend to make shields explode in a big explosion also killing the person who fired at it. lol its why sword play came back into fashsion
