blanks produce a lower amount of recoil as there is no projectile therefore newtons 3rd law is not taken into effect therefore the recoil produced is less
i can draw you a diagram if you realy must know.

Are you sure ? The blank doesn't have a projectile but it still sprays something down the barrel hence recoil albeit minor compared to live rounds. |

The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.
