The weapons handling coaches and gunfight choreographers for Heat were Andy McNab (yes, that Andy McNab) and Mick Gould, also a former 22 SAS operator. Supposedly, DeNiro had just read Bravo Two Zero and wanted McNab to be involved. Mick Gould also did the weapons training and choreography for The Long Kiss Goodnight, Ronin and Collateral and was the climbing coach for DeNiro for The Score.

But what I find funnier is that Dennis Haysbert (the actor playing him) is now in so many insurance commercials featuring auto accidents.

Yeah, this is my favourite shootout of all time. It is the best! I have the DVD of it. The first time I saw this my jaw dropped, and I was like "Holy Shit!!!!!"
Yeah, when I read the title of the thread I just thought "this is going to be about HEAT isn't it" BTW, I was disappointed about the shootout in Miami Vice, Micheal Manns newest film (he directed HEAT), it was all in the dark, and was not very fun. |

Maybe a 5.56mm fmj bullet couldn't go through a brick wall but I imagine a tungsten carbide bullet would pass through with no problems.
